Meet Haley

Haley Yarbrough is the founder and principal designer of Haley Yarbrough Interiors, a full-service residential design studio based in Georgia. A Perry native now settled in Macon with her husband and two children, Haley brings an innate love for Southern charm, timeless design, and purposeful living into every project she undertakes.

A proud graduate of the University of Georgia, Haley earned her degree in Merchandising, where she developed a keen understanding of aesthetics, consumer insight, and thoughtful curation. Her favorite courses—textiles and business marketing—shaped her design sensibility, sharpening her eye for scale, balance, and detail while instilling a practical, client-centered approach to interiors.

Entrepreneurial from the start, Haley launched a successful jewelry business as a college sophomore and spent the next decade honing her creative instincts and business acumen. Her path eventually led to interiors, where her passion for creating layered, livable spaces found its true home.

Haley spent eight years under the mentorship of renowned designer and author James Farmer, where she contributed to high-end residential projects across the South and beyond—from Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard to Mississippi, Florida, and Connecticut. It was here that her own design philosophy took root—one that honors tradition while embracing comfort, personality, and fresh perspective.

At HY Interiors, Haley designs homes that are classic, curated, and deeply personal. Her signature aesthetic blends traditional silhouettes with a fresh eye for textiles, color, and composition—resulting in interiors that feel both refined and relaxed. Whether she’s pairing bold prints with intention or sourcing heirloom-worthy pieces, Haley approaches each project with intention, warmth, and an intuitive sense of home.

If you’re drawn to interiors that feel timeless yet tailored, personal yet polished, Haley would be honored to help you create a space that feels as beautiful as it is lived in.

"Haley’s style is truly one of a kind—effortless, elevated, and always unexpected. She mixes textiles and prints in ways I’d never imagine, yet somehow they feel exactly right. Working with her feels like having a friend in your pocket who can read your mind and deliver what you didn’t even know you needed."

Q+A

With Haley

Signature Cocktail?

An extra dirty martini or a nice crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc

Coffee table book you’d never part with?

I have a few that I would grab if the house was on fire, among them are: Colefax & Fowler “The Best in English Interior Decoration”, Sister Parish Design On Decorating, The Architecture of Frank McCall, Gil Schafer’s “A Place to Call Home”… and of course my collection of James Farmer’s Interior books that hold a special place in my heart!

Favorite room in your home (and why)?

Currently the heart of our home is our keeping room. It is where the movies are watched, the sofa cushions turn into forts and the legos are built.

Most unexpected item you’d love to design around (heirloom, art, collection, etc.)?

I love a collection of plates or a really fun, unexpected, piece of artwork! Pieces like this can be such great catalysts that spark inspiration for a space!

If your home had a signature scent, what would it be?

My personal scent is a combination of patchouli and Jo Malone’s Wood Sage and Sea Salt which I feel transfers to my home. Basically anything earthy and fresh.

You're hosting a dinner party—what's the theme or signature dish?

My husband is a phenomenal chef so the majority of our dinner parties are centered around the meat he wants to prepare. A dinner party to me is a journey so I always try to provide the provisions for our guest to organically migrate through the evening. A light bite upon arrival, the main entree and most of the time we drink our dessert!

What do you collect (intentionally or accidentally)?

HA.. I think an easier question to answer would be what *don’t* I collect… Besides the obvious (what kind of southerner would I be if I didn’t collect china, linens, and silver) I would say artwork. If I find a piece of art that stops me in my tracks it will come home with me (obviously, if budget allows) even if I don’t quite know where it will land.

Heirloom you hope to pass down (or already treasure)?

Jewelry, of course… but I truly look at a lot of my furnishings as heirlooms. I always try to be intentional with the pieces I buy. Quality and craftsmanship are so important to me. Knowing that I am paying a premium so that my pieces stand the test of time and my children can enjoy them in their future homes makes it a worthy investment in my eyes.

Tennis – doubles or singles?

I truly love them both and look at them as two separate games! I love singles for the workout both physically and mentally (if you’re a singles player you know)… and I love doubles for the camaraderie and teamwork.

What’s always in your bag—besides your phone?

A tape measure!
